About ISO 50001
ISO 50001 is the international standard for energy management systems. It uses the Annex SL harmonized structure, so its context, leadership, planning, support, operation, evaluation and improvement clauses will look familiar to anyone who has worked with ISO 9001 or ISO 14001.
What makes it distinct is measurement. The standard requires an energy review, identification of significant energy uses, an energy baseline, energy performance indicators and evidence of demonstrable improvement in energy performance — not merely of the system around it.
Auditor courses consequently focus on how to test data quality, normalisation and the link between claimed savings and the underlying measurement, alongside the usual audit technique.
Which edition of ISO 50001 do the courses cover?

Course completion certificate or personnel certification?
Completing a MEGADEMİ course gives you a course completion certificate: documentary evidence that you attended the programme and met its assessment criteria. It is issued by MEGADEMİ.
Personnel certification is different. It is granted by a personnel certification body — for example Exemplar Global — against a published auditor category, and it assesses more than training: applicants normally have to evidence audit experience, pass the scheme's examination requirements and apply to the body directly. No training provider can grant it on the body's behalf.
MEGADEMI-EUROTECH LLC is an Exemplar Global Certified Training Provider. That is a statement about the provider and its training, not a statement that any individual course automatically confers a personal auditor certification.

Frequently asked questions
How does ISO 50001 relate to ISO 14001?+
They share the same management-system structure and are frequently certified together, but ISO 50001 is narrower and more quantitative: it targets energy performance specifically and requires baselines and indicators that ISO 14001 does not.
Do I need an engineering background?+
No, but comfort with energy data helps. Auditor courses include working with baselines, EnPIs and normalisation, so delegates who never handle consumption data should expect the data sessions to be the demanding part.
