About ISO/IEC 42001
ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. It applies the familiar management system structure to AI-specific concerns: intended use and context, AI risk and impact assessment, data governance and quality, transparency, human oversight, and life-cycle control from design through deployment to retirement.
It is the first certifiable AI management system standard, and it is being adopted quickly by organisations that must show governance of AI to customers, regulators or their own boards.
Because it is new, delegates often come from two directions: management system practitioners who need the AI-specific content, and AI or data teams who need the management system discipline.
Which edition of ISO/IEC 42001 do the courses cover?
ISO/IEC 42001:2023 is the first and current edition of the AI management system standard. Because it is new, check that any course you consider teaches the standard itself rather than general AI-governance material.

Course completion certificate or personnel certification?
Completing a MEGADEMİ course gives you a course completion certificate: documentary evidence that you attended the programme and met its assessment criteria. It is issued by MEGADEMİ.
Personnel certification is different. It is granted by a personnel certification body — for example Exemplar Global — against a published auditor category, and it assesses more than training: applicants normally have to evidence audit experience, pass the scheme's examination requirements and apply to the body directly. No training provider can grant it on the body's behalf.
MEGADEMI-EUROTECH LLC is an Exemplar Global Certified Training Provider. That is a statement about the provider and its training, not a statement that any individual course automatically confers a personal auditor certification.

Do I need an ISO 27001 background before ISO 42001?+
It is not required, but it helps. ISO/IEC 42001 shares its structure with other management system standards, and AI governance in practice sits close to information security and privacy work.
Is ISO 42001 relevant if we only use third-party AI tools?+
Yes. The standard covers organisations that deploy or use AI systems, not only those that build them, and much of its content deals with oversight of AI you did not develop.
Which level should we start with?+
Teams preparing to certify usually start with an implementer course. Teams that need to check an existing AI governance framework start with an auditor course.
