About ISO/IEC 42001
ISO/IEC 42001 is the international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. It applies the familiar management system structure to AI-specific concerns: intended use and context, AI risk and impact assessment, data governance and quality, transparency, human oversight, and life-cycle control from design through deployment to retirement.
It is the first certifiable AI management system standard, and it is being adopted quickly by organisations that must show governance of AI to customers, regulators or their own boards.
